Italian champions AC Milan have suffered their first defeat in the UEFA Champions League after the 3-0 loss to Premier League giants Chelsea. AC Milan and Chelsea have been drawn together in the same Champions League group this year in addition to Red Bull Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb. The four teams are in Group E as far as the Champions League group stage campaign for this season is concerned.

Ahead of the London Derby clash with Spurs, Chelsea have a good recent record after winning all four games last season. The Blues won four out of four games in all competitions against Spurs last season including the two league fixtures. Chelsea knocked Spurs out of the EFL Cup at the semi-final stage last season by winning the two legs before they lost out to Liverpool in the final as a result of the dreaded penalty shooutout. Thomas Tuchel and his Chelsea players lost 11-10 to Liverpool during the shootout after substitute goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga missed the decisive spot kick.

For the defeats, Chelsea were beaten for the first time in the league this season when Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus scored the only goal of the game in the first half to give Manchester City an impressive 1-0 away win. Chelsea also suffered defeat at home to London teams Brentford and Arsenal.

Although Hargreaves believes that Chelsea have quite the squad that can cause an upset this season as well, he also thinks that the rest of the teams would already he more wary of them now and that will help them to get even more prepared and ensure that they are not allowed to win the title two times in a row. Speaking in a recent studio session, Hargreaves said that he has a lot of respect for the Blues because they quenched the doubts he had for them last season when they went all the way to win the UEFA Champions League title.

West London giants Chelsea led the Premier League for the better part of two months before they lost the summit to defending champions Manchester City earlier this month thanks to the 3-2 comeback loss at fellow London team West Ham United. The Blues lost to a very good team on their own patch though they would be disappointed that they didn't manage to hold on to the lead twice during the game only to then lose it in the final minutes, but in truth, it is their home form that ensured that they lost their place at the top of the table to Manchester City, while also losing second place to Liverpool. Chelsea have had to settle for third place since losing to the Hammers this month. It must be pointed out that Chelsea drew their last two home games before the West Ham United and that's where the problem lies.
The defender Chelsea decided to sell was Kurt Zouma. The initial agreement was for Chelsea to agree a player-plus-cash deal with Sevilla and they would be expected to send Zouma to Spain and add some additional cash to prise Kounde away from the club. But that was not going to happen as Zouma insisted that he would not be heading to Spain and would love to remain in the English Premier League instead. It was initially a difficult situation for the Blues but they managed to reach an agreement with West Ham United after the Hammers registered an interest in signing the player.

Barcelona are in a financial crisis and they are keen to move on a lot of their players including French international Griezmann to ease their burden financially. The Catalan giants have not been able to hand talisman Lionel Messi a new deal because of their financial situation as they need to balance the books before they can give the little magician a new contract thanks to the strict financial rules from La Liga.

His lack of game time was a huge problem for him and after letting his intentions known that he would like to leave the club on loan, he decided to join Crystal Palace after the London club made a loan offer for him. He joined Palace last summer and spent the rest of the season at Selhurst Park but after returning to Stamford Bridge following the completion of his loan spell at Palace, he is now looking for an escape route in form of a new club where he can continue his footballing career.

Goals from Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell handed Thomas Tuchel's men a comfortable 2-0 first-leg advantage before the second leg. At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea did not play with the same aggression and character they showed in Portugal and failed to penetrate the Porto defense. The game ended goalless at half-time, with neither side registering a single shot on target.
